Although the label Anomalous Records has been closed, it’s possoble to find items left over from the Anomalous Records mail order catalog. Every time the stock changes the list will be updated. The list update frequency is anomalous (nomen est omen) – like the label itself – and depends on sell out or extension of products. Sometimes changes happen every day, other times longer periods may pass with no change whatever. Ordering information is given at the end of teh list.

ANOMALOUS RECORDS was a label specializing in the areas of sound art outside the normal conventions of music. It was founded in Feb. 1991 by Eric Lanzillotta as a wholesale distributor for experimental records and closed down in the end of 2004. The domain anomalousrecords.com itself was registered in Jul 1998.

Detecting Anomalous Records in Categorical Datasets

Another kind of anomalous records ist presented here at videolectures.net. The problem of detecting anomalous records in categorical datasets is solved by creating a model of normal data, later comparing test records against it. A probabilistic approach builds a likelihood model from the training data. Based on the complete record likelihood the records are tested for anomalousness. It is shown that there is a better way of detecting anomalies than with classical bays net approaches.
